ARTICLE 14 PENTECOSTAL LIFE CHURCH INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MINISTRY
14.1 ESTABLISHMENT
There shall be established a Pentecostal Life Church Youth Ministry as the youth organ of the Church.
14.1.1 MEMBERSHIP OF THE YOUTH MINISTRY
It shall consist of all persons from the ages of thirteen (13) to thirty-five (35) years. Its meetings shall be held at least once a week.
14. 2 FUNCTIONS
a) It is their duty to evangelize i.e. preaching, witnessing and soul winning.
b) To encourage the youth to take part in all Church programmes and activities.
c) To give them the opportunity to plan and organize programmes and activities that meets the peculiar needs and aspirations of the youth.
d) To perform such other duties as the General Council or the NEC may assign to them.
14.3 PENTECOSTAL LIFE CHURCH INT YOUTH MINISTRY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The day to day administration of the youth ministry shall be governed by seven (7) Executive Committee Members.
14.3.1 THE APPOINTMENT OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The General Council shall approve the NEC’s recommendations to appoint seven (7) able men and women to lead the Youth Ministry. The Youth Executive Committee are as follows:
a) An Ordained Minister as Youth Director
b) Deputy Youth Director
c) Youth President
d) Secretary
e) Financial Secretary
f) One Elder
g) Two other Executive Members
14.4 FUNCTIONS OF THE YOUTH DIRECTOR
a) He shall have general supervision of the Youth President and other officers of the fellowship
(b) He shall be accountable the General Superintendent of the Church
c) He shall be the director of the Youth Ministry.
d) He shall chair all meetings of the ministry and in his absence, the Youth President shall preside.
e) He shall chair Youth Ministry National Conference.
f) He shall be an advisor to the Youth President and other officers of the ministry.
g) He shall provide study materials for the ministry.
h) He shall perform such other duties as may be directed by General Superintendent.
i) He shall direct affairs during the ministry’s leadership meetings and other related activities.
14.5 FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPUTY YOUTH DIRECTOR
a) He shall act for the Youth Director in his absence
b) He shall assist the Youth Director in the discharge of his duties
c) He shall perform other functions as may be assigned by the Youth Director or Executive Committee of Pentecostal Life Church Int. Youth Ministry.
14.6 FUNCTIONS OF THE YOUTH PRESIDENT
a) He shall be responsible for the administration of the Youth Ministry
b) He shall prepare and carry out the fellowship’s programmes and implement decisions of the ministry in consultation with the Youth Director
c) He shall prepare agenda for the Youth Ministry’s meetings and shall arrange to make them available to the members in consultation with the Youth Director
d) He shall chair the Youth Executive Committee’s meetings in the absence of the Youth Director.
e) He shall submit the Youth Ministry’s General reports to the General Council.
f) He shall perform such functions and duties as may be directed by the Ministry’s Executive Committee or the General Superintendent of the Church.
g) He shall be accountable to the Youth Director for the effective administration of the Ministry.
h)He shall perform any other functions that he may be assigned by the Youth Director
i) He shall liaise with other youth bodies in the Para-churches and other Christian Organizations.
14.7 TERM OF OFFICE
The Executive Committee shall hold office for four (4) years and is subject for renewal for further terms.
14.8 REGIONAL YOUTH EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
14.8. 1 APPOINTMENT
The Youth Ministry shall be administered by a seven (7) member Executive Committee appointed by the Regional Church Board on the recommendation of the Regional Executive Committee.
14.8.2 MEMBERSHIP
(a) Regional Youth Ministry Leader
(b) Assistant Regional Youth Ministry Leader
(c) Four (4)Elders one of whom shall be the Secretary
(d) One (1) Deaconess
14.8.3 TERM OF OFFICE
The Leader, Assistant Leader and all other members shall hold office for a term of two (2) years and may be reviewed for further terms.
14.9 REGIONAL YOUTH LEADER
A Minister shall be appointed as a Regional Youth Ministry Leader. He shall be assisted by an Elder.
14.9.1 APPOINTMENT
The Regional Youth Ministry Leader and his Assistant shall be appointed by the Regional Executive Council on the recommendation of the Regional Executive Committee.
14.9.2 FUNCTIONS OF REGIONAL YOUTH LEADER
(a)The Regional Youth Leader shall be accountable to the Regional Executive Council through the Regional Superintendent for day to day administration of the Youth Ministry in the Region
(b)He shall plan programmes for evangelism, discipleship and leadership training in schools, colleges and universities
(c)He shall chair meetings of the Ministry
(d)He shall be responsible for the formation, sustenance and growth of the Youth Ministry through the Great Commission
(e) He shall report bi-annually to the Youth Director and the Regional Executive Council on the state of the Youth Ministry in the region
(f) He shall perform such other functions as the Youth Director and/or the Regional Superintendent shall assign to him, from time to time.
14.9.3 TERM OF OFFICE
The Regional Youth Leader and his Assistant shall hold office for two (2) years and may be reviewed for further terms.
14.10 DISTRICT YOUTH EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
14.10.1 APPOINTMENT
The Youth Ministry shall be administered by a five(5) member Executive Committee appointed by the District Executive Council on the recommendation of the District Executive Committee and it shall be accountable to the District Executive Council.
14.10.2 MEMBERSHIP
(a)District Youth Ministry Patron
(b)District Youth Ministry Leader
(c)Assistant District Youth Ministry Leader
(d)One (1) Deacon and one (1) Deaconess one of whom shall be the secretary.
14.10.3 TERM OF OFFICE
The Patron, Leader, Assistant and all other members shall hold office for a term of two (2) years and may be reviewed for further terms
14.10.4 DISTRICT YOUTH MINISTRY LEADER
The District Youth Leader and the Assistant shall be appointed by the District Executive Council on the recommendation of the District Executive Committee.
14.10.5 FUNCTIONS OF DISTRICT YOUTH MINISTRY LEADER
(a) He shall supervise the youth ministry in the district
(b) He shall communicate all relevant matters with the consent of the District Minister to the regional leader
(c) He shall see to the teaching of the word of God and lessons in the Youth ministry syllabus
(d)He shall be responsible for the preparation of programmes for youth Ministry meetings in consultation with the district minister.
14.10.6 TERM OF OFFICE
The District Youth Ministry Leader and the assistant shall hold office for two years and may be reviewed for further terms.
14.11 LOCAL YOUTH MINISTRY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
14.11.1 APPOINTMENT
The Youth Ministry shall be administered by a five-member Executive Committee appointed by the Local Board

(c)Assistant Local Youth Ministry Leader
(d)Two (2) others including a female
14.11.3 TERM OF OFFICE
The Local Youth Ministry Patron and all other members shall hold office for a term of two (2) years and may be reviewed for further terms.
14.12 LOCAL YOUTH MINISTRY LEADER
There shall be an appointed Local Youth Ministry Leader who shall have an Assistant.
14.12.1 APPOINTMENT
The Local Youth Ministry Leader and the Assistant shall be appointed by the Local Board
14.12.2 FUNCTIONS
(a) He shall take charge of the Youth Ministry in the Local Assembly
(b) He shall communicate all relevant matters with the consent of the Local Pastor to the District Pastor
(c) He shall see to the teaching of the word of God and lessons in the Youth Ministry Syllabus
(d)He will be responsible for the preparation of programmes for the Youth Ministry meetings in consultation with the pastor.
14.12.3 TERM OF OFFICE
The Local Youth Ministry Leader and his Assistant shall hold office for two (2) years and may be reviewed for further terms
